I was driving to Sibu last Thursday when I come across this huge potholes. This pothole is just right after Sarikei-Sibu-Bintagor Junction. I was so pissed to see this pothole that I took a U-turn just to take a few photo.

Sarikei-Sibu Road-Pothole 1

Look at this size of this potholes!

If any motorcyclist were to ride over this pothole, some of them might have fall down and caused serious injury. I bet some of the car could have flung out of the track if they are in high speed during raining season.

Sarikei-Sibu Road-Burst Tyres

Just a few meter away from that pothole, I found a burst tyre. It was a big tyre, so it could either belong to a lorry or a bus.

This irritate the shit out of me because this road has just been repaired less than 1 year!
Don’t think that I’m losing my cool over this one pothole.  This pothole is only one of the many parts of the road that has been poorly build. Some part of the road makes you felt like you are riding on the roller coaster. Some part of the road are sinking causing the car to tilt to left or right.

To those who build or maintain this road: Can you imagine yourself happily driving down the road and suddenly saw a big ass truck burst a tyre over the pothole causing it to lose control and crash towards you? Go repair the fucking road!

RM40 Ekspres Bahagia

Following the fuel price hike, local transportation companies has started to raise their fares. The normal fare for Ekpres Bahagia boat trip from Kuching to Sarikei is now priced RM40. Previously it was RM35. That is RM5 or 14% increment; which is almost equivalent to the price of one normal lunch (Economy/Chicken Rice + Drinks).

This Sunday I’m taking Express Boat from Kuching to return back to Sarikei. As usual. The name of the ship is Sea Jet 2 and it belongs to Joystar Capital Sdn Bhd.

I managed to reach the wharf around 12.25pm. The boat is scheduled for departure at 12.45pm.

I entered the ship and saw that the 1st seat of the front row at normal seats are still vacant. Thus I choose to sit there so that I can stretch my leg.

I was never a wresting fan but they have been showing this WWE No Mercy 2007 so many times that right now I know who is Mr. McMahon, Triple H, Randy Orton, Umaga, Big Daddy V, Rey Mysterio, etc. Even watching sexy chicks like Candice and Phoenix battling it out does not make it any better :(

They are showing WWE No Mercy 2007…again and again and again!

They are selling snacks and drinks too. Of course the price are more steep than normal price. I always bought my own drink and food before the ride.

They are asking all the passengers to write down the name, IC No and gender. Just in case if something happens, they can count the casualties. Gulp!

Feeling bored, I went upstair and to the back of the ship for some fresh air. You might take down your cap if you are wearing one. I once lost my cap due to wild rush of wind.

I finally reached Sarikei at 4.15. Besides transporting people, they are also delivering cargo. You can see from the picture that they can even help to deliver motorcycles. Make sure you have someone waiting at the wharf to collect the cargo.

Finally…Sarikei Wharf.

If this is your first time to visit Sarikei, there is a map of Sarikei road at the wharf. You can study it to get familiar with Sarikei’s road.

There are 2 types of seats;which is VIP seats and Normal seats. VIP seats cost RM40 and Normal seats cost RM35. I wonder what will they do if someone didn’t have money to pay for the fare. Give them a life jacket and throw them into the river? Ha ha…
