Taman Selera Muhibah, Sibu 01 - Pedada Road, Sibu

Earlier morning, I asked KongKay, if he has read AlexAllied’s blog on Sibu’s Tiong Hua Road’s Kompia.

“Come, tonight I will bring you to taste the best kompia in Sibu!”, he replied.

So off we went to Taman Selera Muhibah at Pedada Road, Sibu.

Taman Selera Muhibah, Sibu 02 - Open Air Eateries

Taman Selera Muhibah is an open-air style eateries. The place is surrounded by 4 walls of Hawker Stall, filled with all kind of local delicacy.

If you wish to taste all kind of Sibu local food at 1 go, this is definitely the place you should visit. There are all types of local cuisine for your selection: Chinese’s, Malay’s or Dayak’s food, Halal or Non-Halal.

The only limit is the thickness of your wallet! LOL..

Taman Selera Muhibah, Sibu 03 - Twin Tower of Stall 11

The stall we patronize for the night is Stall 11, owned by Ah Kok. It is easy to find this stall as this the the only place you can find Twin Tower of Sibu. He he..

As I was talking photo of his beloved masterpiece, AH Kok was smiling happily. He later explained that he got the idea after he visit KLCC in Kuala Lumpur.

“I need to order the Kompia first. 10 pieces, enough or not?”, KongKay MSN’ed me at the afternoon. I just went WAKAKAKA on the MSN, not knowing whether to believe him or was him just pulling my legs.

Truly enough, as we were seated on the table, Ah Kok asked “Sir, your Kompia order are ready. Would you like to have your Kompia served?”. My tongue almost stucked up. Ah Kok told us that he only make around 50 pieces per day. So we are the lucky few fella to taste his kompia.

Taman Selera Muhibah, Sibu 07 - Best Kompia In Braissed Pork Belly Meat

Introducing, Ah Kok’s Kompia in Braised Pork Belly Meat. The Kompia are toasted and stuffed with soy-sauced braised pork belly meat.

You can also ordered ordinary Minced Pork Meat stuffed kompia from him but REAL man eat 3 layers pork meat. ROARRRR!!!

I ate 5 of em! They are so yummy that you can enjoy your beer with ‘em. LOL..

Taman Selera Muhibah, Sibu 08 - Ah Kok's Specialty, Dried Squid in Tofu Soup

Another Ah Kok’s specialty is Dried Squid in Tofu Soup. This is my first time tasting this and I like it from the first spoon till the last drip.

Main ingredients are Dried Squid, stuffed into Yellow Tofu and stuffed again into Firm Tofu. These 3 layered ingredients are then cooked in soup of spring onion and Parsley Leaf. Yummylicious!!

This is definitely a must try Foochow-style soup for those who likes seafood flavors.

Taman Selera Muhibah, Sibu 05 - Setting Up The Camera

There are around 5 of us meeting up, and 4 of us are bloggers. However, the names of the attending bloggers (except for Kongkay and me) will not be revealed in this blog. Wakakaka…

Taman Selera Muhibah, Sibu 06 - Shooting Photo In Hyper Speed

Food blogger show off his Hyper Clock Up speed in shooting food photo before the foods gets cold. LOL…

Taman Selera Muhibah, Sibu 04 - Kompia in Apollo 11

This is another great art invention from Ah Kok which was based on Spacecraft Apollo 11, that landed at Moon in 1969.

If a Foochow were to be the First Malaysian to land on Moon, he/she will be bringing Ah Kok’s Kompia for munching!
