Now is kinda summer time in Malaysia and the weather is freaking hot! My room felt like big giant oven by the time I returned home from work at 5pm. So I would switch on the air cond and stayed in the room until the next day to work. Ha ha…
Following the fuel price hike, local transportation companies has started to raise their fares. The normal fare for Ekpres Bahagia boat trip from Kuching to Sarikei is now priced RM40. Previously it was RM35. That is RM5 or 14% increment; which is almost equivalent to the price of one normal lunch (Economy/Chicken Rice + Drinks).

By that time, petrol would be priced at RM270 per litre and diesel at RM258 per litre. So the poor cat has to find rat for food behind the coffee shop’s dirty alley.
The new fuel price (78cent for petrol and RM1 for diesel) announced by the Barisan National government has set the Sarikei town people into frenzy mode. My parents had already filled both cars with full tank of petrol earlier at the afternoon to avoid this commotion. My scooter’s tank was almost empty and I decided to join in this rush for petrol. Ha ha…
I reached the Sarikei town area around 7:30pm. The whole road near the town’s Shell Station was totally jam packed. Smirking at those stranded car, I tried to show off my skill to maneuver my scooter to zoom in between the vehicles. Car drivers can only look enviously at me. Mwhaha…
